Flags for AB

15mm Flags for AB designed for use with AB Figures. Sheets are not illustrated in the shop to protect copyright on the flags. All flags sheets are printed on paper

Use a scalpel or craft knife with a new blade to cut flags from sheet (use a metal ruler to keep a straight edge on flags without fringes), and use a cutting board

Place cut-out flag face down on a sheet of paper and use a paint brush to apply craft PVA glue (use enough glue to allow the two surfaces to slide over one another - practise on a blank piece of paper). Hold the flag in place using a cocktail stick while applying glue, then transfer flag to flagpole using the cocktail stick. Fold flag around flagpole and slide flag so edges match. It may be easier to affix and shape flags while they hang down on the flagpole and then swivel them on the pole to their final position. Shape flag and allow to dry. Touch up edges with thinned, matching paint to hide white edges

Do not fold flags while dry, otherwise the colours may crack: allow the PVA glue to soften the flag before folding and shaping. Avoid touching the surface of flag where possible to prevent glue-covered fingers removing the pattern and colours
