Fighting 15s: Turning little men into soldiers

SAFETY
The items on this site are not suitable for children aged under 14 years. The items on this site are not toys.
White metal items may contain lead, which is dangerous if chewed or swallowed. White metal items may also have sharp points, which can injure if handled incorrectly.
Water-based acrylic paints are non-toxic. In the event of contact with the eyes, wash copiously with cold water and seek medical advice.
VAT
As of 1 October 2007, Fighting 15s is registered for VAT. Our VAT number is GB 917 3277 15.
Shop prices include VAT at 17.5%. Customers from outside the European Union will have VAT deducted from total prices in the shopping cart after selecting their country.

GENERAL
Painted figures shown on the site are for display purposes only.
All items are sold unpainted and unassembled.
Pictures on the site may not show all possible variants for each code and are not an indication of the exact variant mix supplied.
Composition of unit and bargain packs may vary from that stated depending on stock.
Eureka or AB figures can be purchased singly by phone or mail order using codes from the downloadable lists in the Links & Downloads section of the site. Codes in the lists are different from codes in the online shop. The ability to buy figures singly does not imply an ability to pick specific variants.
Figures from Aude, Flashing Blade, Oddzial Osmy, Scale Creep and Shadowforge are provided pre-packed by the manufacturers and cannot be supplied individually.
Mounted figures come with horses. Riders are not sold separately from horses.
Fighting 15s reserves the right to treat as special orders any orders for which, in Fighting 15s' view, the quantity of officers and other command figures is high compared with other ranks figures.
Payments made through Worldpay or PayPal are taken at the time of ordering. The shopping cart provides Telephone Payment and Cheque Payment options for customers who want payment to be taken at the time of dispatch.
FIGURE VARIANTS
Many of the figures that we supply have more than one variant. Some of these variations may be subtle.
All figures are picked at random. Our mix of variants depends entirely on what is supplied by the manufacturer and as a result we may not have a particular variant or even all variants of a figure in stock.
Fighting 15s cannot guarantee to supply a particular variant no matter what the circumstances. A customer can provide written or pictorial information, but the essential condition even if Fighting 15s is sympathetic to the request is that Fighting 15s cannot guarantee to provide a particular variant.
Fighting 15s also cannot guarantee to provide all variants of a figure even if a customer orders a number of figures equal to the number of variants.
Fighting 15s cannot accept orders that are conditional on a particular variant of figure being supplied.
SPECIAL ORDERS
Some ranges are available only to special order and can take eight weeks or more to arrive in the UK. Fighting 15s aims to fulfil special orders within about eight weeks, subject to shipping delays, company holidays (particularly in July, August, December and January) or sickness.
Special orders are placed like any other order for figures that are in stock. Please note that your card will be charged automatically when you place the order.
15mm AB Napoleonic and Ancients figures are all treated as if they are available to special order and therefore Fighting 15s aims to fulfil orders for these figures within about eight weeks. If the figures are in stock, orders for AB figures are fulfilled faster.
Fighting 15 will email to advise if figures are available to special order and to provide a consignment number for your reference.
OUT OF STOCK
Orders for figures that are temporarily out of stock are treated as special orders and it may take eight weeks or more for items to arrive in the UK. This particularly affects items from suppliers in Australia or the USA, including Eureka Miniatures, AB Figures, Shadowforge Miniatures, Laughing Monk and Scale Creep Miniatures.
Fighting 15s will advise if figures are out of stock and where possible provide a consignment number for your reference.
CANCELLATION OF SPECIAL ORDERS
Customers that cancel a special order will receive a full refund, provided that it is the first special order that they cancel.
If a customer cancels a special order, we advise that any and all subsequent special orders by that customer are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30 per cent of the order value.
CONFIRMATION OF ONLINE ORDERS
Customers will be sent written confirmation by email that their order has been received. Confirmation that an order has been received does not constitute acceptance of that order.
Orders that have an incorrect email address and which do not also include a contact telephone number will be cancelled.
Fighting 15s reserves the right not to supply items where errors arise in the price, code or description in the shop, or if mail order customers provide insufficient payment.
MAIL ORDER
Customers that order by mail order or that use the telephone order option in the shopping cart are reminded that it is their responsibility to provide full payment details relevant to the method of payment. For card payments, Fighting 15s needs to know the card number, its start and expiry dates, issue number (for some debit cards), and three-digit security number.
If full details are not provided, the order will not be processed.
SHIPPING TIMES
Most orders for which all items are in stock are dispatched within seven days of ordering, subject to delays resulting from holidays, sickness, or preparations for wargames shows.
Special orders and orders for items that are out of stock may take eight weeks or more before dispatch.
POSTAGE, PACKING AND DELIVERY
The shopping cart calculates postage according to weight.
Delivery charges in the UK are: £1.20 (up to 100g), £1.50 (up to 250g), £1.80 (up to 500g), £3.10 (up to 750g), £6.40 (up to 1kg), £8.25 (up to 1.25kg). VAT is added to these prices at a rate of 17.5% (although postage is exempt from VAT, companies must levy VAT on delivery charges according to the VAT rate of the contents).
Postage prices within the UK, to Europe and Worldwide are based on Royal Mail rates introduced in April 2008. Europe includes any continental European country as defined by the Royal Mail, and therefore excludes the UK but includes many non-EU countries.
All orders weighing more than 750g (500g by air to Europe or worldwide) are sent by registered post, whichever delivery option is chosen in the cart. Weights relate to total figure weights for the order calculated by the shopping cart.
Most UK orders are sent by recorded post; small orders are simply sent first class with proof of posting. Insured UK orders are sent by Special Delivery; heavy parcels are sent by insured parcel post or courier.
Registered orders in the EU and Worldwide are usually sent by International Signed For post: heavy international orders are sent in several packages, each weighing under 2kg.
Orders for water-based paints are broken down into 150ml or less of paint per package to comply with postal regulations. A customer's selected delivery option may therefore be altered by Fighting 15s to accommodate the cost of sending such packages separately.
If an item is returned to Fighting 15s because it has not been collected in time from the sorting office, Fighting 15s will cancel the order and make a full refund. We regret that it is not economic to send out the parcel again.
Customers that choose inappropriate delivery options for their location will have items removed from their order up to the cost of the required postage.
All orders include a packing and handling charge of £0.75 (ex VAT) to cover the cost of packaging, payment handling fees and fuel surcharges on imports.
COLLECT AT SHOW
From time to time a special Collect At... option is available in the shopping cart, allowing you to place an order online to collect at a named wargames show and pay by credit card. Fighting 15s offers this option for large shows only, such as Salute.
The option is usually removed just before a show as we spend some time preparing for and travelling to each show.
It may not be possible to supply orders that are placed very close to a show, given that it can take eight or more weeks to obtain items if a code is out of stock.
We typically share a stand at shows with Black Hat Miniatures, and may be identified on a floorplan as Black Hat. Fighting 15s and Black Hat are separate businesses but we help each other out.
By placing an order with this option, customers agree that it is their responsibility to collect. Customers who fail to collect at a show can still receive their figures on payment of the necessary postage.
Customers who place a show order online and default on it (by which we mean both failing to collect and refusing to pay postage) will have the order value refunded less the cost of card handling fees. Fees total about 9% because they are charged both for the sales transaction and for the refund.
DELIVERY ADDRESSES
The shop allows orders to be dispatched to other than the billing address.
Any customers from outside the European Union who want figures sent to a UK or EU painter must pay VAT because we are unable to prove that the order leaves the UK. If the correct tax region is not chosen in the shop by a customer, we will send a PayPal invoice for any tax that is due.
LOST PARCELS
In the rare event that a parcel goes astray in the post, we have found that asking the customer to make the claim for the lost parcel results in faster resolution by the Royal Mail because it is easier to prove the value of the order to the customer than it is to prove the value of the order to Fighting 15s. Fighting 15s will provide the necessary copies of receipts and proofs of payment and posting to customers on request, and will even obtain the necessary form from the post office.
The above does not affect your statutory rights. You can instead request a refund under distance selling regulations.
We do not send duplicates of orders that go missing. If a customer does not wish to pursue the Royal Mail's procedure for lost parcels, we issue a refund.
Please note that Royal Mail will not recognise that a parcel is lost in the UK until 15 days have elapsed from dispatch, and in the EU/worldwide until 25 days have elapsed.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Under distance selling regulations, customers have a cooling off period whereby they can change their mind and cancel or return an order within seven working days of receipt without giving a reason. Customers must return goods supplied to them if they cancel an order.
Customers are bound to take good care of goods they receive and to return unwanted items in good condition. Customers that do not return unwanted items in good condition are liable for the cost of such items. Customers must return goods at their own expense.
Fighting 15s will replace figures that are damaged in transit on return of the damaged figures, together with the original packaging. It is helpful if customers preserve the original packaging because it useful in pursuing any claim made against the postal service.
CONFIDENTIAL DATA
Information collected on this site is held off site in a database as part of our online shop. Fighting 15s will not pass on this information to any other person or organisation, nor use it in marketing. Information collected on this site is used only to fulfil orders and to collect payment.
Customers' names and addresses are stored in our accounts software held on computer at Fighting 15s. This is necessary in order to raise invoices. Our accounts database does not hold customers' telephone or email details, nor payment details unless a customer has authorised Fighting 15s to retain this information.
HUZZAH! MINIATURES
Some AB figures are cast under licence in the UK by Huzzah! Miniatures, which is part of Fighting 15s. Licensed figures are produced on moulds provided and made by Eureka Miniatures of Australia, and production has been approved by Nic Robson of Eureka in Australia and, for AB, by Tony Barton (sculptor of 15mm AB Figures).
MINIMUM ORDER SIZE
There is no minimum order value, but there is a minimum postage and packing charge that depends on the customer’s location. This minimum charge is non-negotiable.
DISCOUNTS
We never give discounts for orders that are paid for by credit card.
SAMPLES
To receive samples, send a cheque for £5.00 along with an indication of the ranges in which you are interested. We will send a selection of figures if available, and charge tax and postage as appropriate to bring the cost of what we send to £5.00.
TRADEMARKS
Fighting 15s, Oozlum Games, Huzzah! Miniatures and the phrase 'Turning little men into soldiers' are trademarks.
